These terms apply to your use of this website and to every order you place with Shy Publishing Corp. (“we”, “us”). By using the website or placing an order you agree to them.

Who may order

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you order for a school or company, you confirm that you are allowed to do so on its behalf.

Orders and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Please review your order carefully before paying. All orders are final. We do not ship until payment is received in full. You can pay by credit or debit card, or — by invoice — by bank transfer (ACH) or card. Card payments are handled by our payment provider.

We may refuse or cancel an order, or limit quantities, for example if an item is unavailable, if we cannot verify the order, or if we suspect misuse. If we cancel an order that was already paid, we will refund it in full.

Prices, availability and errors

We try to keep prices, descriptions and availability accurate, but mistakes can happen. If a price or other detail was wrong, we may correct it and cancel affected orders, with a full refund of anything you paid. Product images and sample pages are for illustration and may differ slightly from the printed book.

Shipping, customs and returns

Shipping is described in our Shipping Policy and returns in our Return Policy. Customers outside the United States are responsible for any customs fees, import duties and taxes charged by their country.

Our materials

All books, text, images, audio and other content on this website are owned by us or our authors and are protected by copyright. Our books are intended to be used as purchased: please buy enough copies for the students who will use them. You may not photocopy, reproduce, resell or distribute our materials, or copy content from this website, without our written permission.

Using the website

Please do not use the website for anything unlawful, try to break or bypass its security, collect its content or data with automated tools, or submit false information.

Third-party links and services

The website may link to or embed services run by others (for example FedEx tracking or audio previews). We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

No warranties; limit of liability

The website and our materials are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable US federal law. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law requires otherwise.

Changes and general terms

We may update these terms; the version on this page with the latest date applies to orders placed after that date. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with our Shipping, Return and Privacy policies, are the whole agreement between you and us.
